Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

Photography

This collection is being built to illustrate what occurs visually when the perspective on an object changes. Sometimes, there is a certain angle that will change the way light reflects upon an object, causing the eye to percieve the image differently. An image can seem to curve, to shrink, to grow, to move from left to right, right to left, up to down, down to up, or stand perfectly still.
I was once looking at an album cover, I think it was James' Laid, and I must of stared at his face for an hour. Some faces are just interesting, the capture a moment or an emotion. They describe more than a biography. I just like faces.
These pictures are unsorted currently.
These shots are of nature.
I am not sure I can explain why these shots are grouped together. They are of two related catagories, Icon or Texture. Icons are images that represent real things but are not real. Textures are patterns that represent the individual. So together these images are of things that are representing themselves in either one of two ways - a) as something real while the image is of something fake b) of a group that represents a single unit.
Everyone has their own collection of pictures in a reflection theme. From the Mirror Project to other sites completely dedicated to just pictures of reflections, there are thousands of these type pictures on the web. Of course, I will claim that mine are more significance because they aren't just about "Oh cool look how light refelcts things in pictures!" They have some meaning - or something visually complelling beyond the reflection. Or maybe not.
