So you know, I don't know where I am going with this, but this event just happened and I feel there is meaning in it and hope to discern that as I write this post. And when I wrote that line, I realized that my website, well this is silly but I just realized this, my website is not my book. It is not some grand work of fiction or non fiction with meaning, it is just me, and it is totaly okay if some posts don't come out good or on time, because that isnt the point of this website. I dont know what is, but I like posting so I do, and that is that.
I was in the bathroom prepairing for bed and I was rinsing my mouth with Target brand listerine. A fluke gargale caused me to swallow and immediately I felt like puking. So I read the directions on the back of the bottle. And this striked me as odd. The bottle said "In case of accidental overdose, contact poison control." What the fuck is that? Accidental overdose? That warning lable is speaking to the 1% of the country accidentaly trying to find clever ways to kill themselves. And if you didn't accidentaly overdose on listerine, then don't contact poison control, die, because that is what you intended on doing, right? Well in any case, I didn't overdose, on purpose or accidentally, and I continued brushing my teeth and feel fine.
So I know what it is about that little scene. See, even in something as simple as Listerine directions, the world can't seem to admit that people want to kill themselves. It is always an "accidental overdose." And since an overdose is on purpose, they don't have instructions for those people.
