I had a really great time at my former home, the BLC, aka the Bradley Learning Community, aka the Bradley Liquor Center. I was visiting my former house fellow and now very best of friends, Emily, along with my old roommate and old friends, and Brad, Adam’s new roommate, who happens to have a sweet ass. I’ve gotten off track talking about Brad’s ass. I was there for a pretty long time, like 10 till 4am. See, this part of the term ended today because Friday’s classes were cancelled due to an expected very low attendance and Thursday are lectures that aren’t meeting (because of how far away discussions will be). This means, to the slow-minded readers, I don’t have any more class. I only leave for nYc on Saturday, so I really have nothing to do until Saturday. Well I’ve got a few things to do, a bit of spring cleaning, some packing, RMA my video card, fix this, read that, but nothing important. And as I TOTALLY KICKED ASS ON MY GRADES (3 A’s and 1 B), I figured I would really veg out these next few days. I watched 13 Conversations About One Thing – enjoyed it – and Sex, Lies and Videotapes – really enjoyed it and wonder how that good for nothing Steven Soderbergh could go on to make such independent features as Oceans 11, Traffic (possibly the worst movie ever), Erin Brokovich, Out of Sight (no justice!!!). I hung out with my awesome friend Cattie and her roommate Jasmine. And then, as stated above, I went to Bradley. Oh and by the way, there is absolutely no point to this post, because you probably are picking up some different styles in my writing, a bit more formal, a structure, but no, it is just chance, this post is really pointless.
After being in Bradley I walked home at four in the morning. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Madison, but walking home at four in the morning is really scary. Madison has some awesome characteristics to the weather. It is warm out, well not cold out, but cold because of the wind. It is always really quite. The lake looks really eerie frozen in the moon light. The snow’s top layer becomes ice and crushes on impact yet provides a hidden soft side. Ice, well you don’t see ice until you are lying on it. You have like 4 shadows. And if you are smoking, the smoke lingers in front of your face and becomes thick with humidity that creates a following mist, much like a smoke machine would if you attached one to your head. So you’ve got ice, you’ve got snow with a false bottom, you’ve got a bunch of freaky dinky shadows, moonlight, a frozen lake, a big hill, and mist. When all of a sudden the Mystery Machine pulls up! Okay fine, that isn’t funny. But not because I’m not funny, but because you didn’t know the Mystery Machine was the van in Scooby fucking Doo. Conclusion being that I was scared on my walk home. And the freaky thing was, I guess, that I wasn’t quite sure what I was scared of, whether it was the road ahead of me, the hazards behind me, or the pure chance that some crazy mo-fo would kill me. I kept on quickly turning around only to see my shadows alone in nature.
