I just came back early from The Prom show at the catacombs. I chose not to go to sleep last night, so I was pretty much falling asleep standing up and needed to come home. I finally got my mattress so I am going to sleep on that tonight (first night in a bed for like a month and a half). The show was really great and it sucked leaving early, but I didn't want to just fall asleep on the couch in the back. Anyway, this band played there, Carissa's Wierd. I loved them. And I bought their CD. If I wake up later tonight I will write a nice review of the cd as that is what I am going to be listening to tonight. They were really good, kinda Badly Drawn Boys meets Modest Mouse with a hint of grunge. I love describing music like that even though it is probably silly. Also, Carissa's Wierd covered Complicated by that girl. It made me think of the scene in High Fidelity where he walks in and asks if that's peter frampton, and then he tells his friends, I've always hated this song (Baby I love your way), and they say yah, and then he says but now I kinda like it, and they say yah. Goodnight and sleeptight.
