Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

Grocery Store Clerks

The guy who works at the grocery store across the street, which only carries the bare essentials of a shopping convienence - coke, sometimes, Calium No Pulp Tropicana Orange Juice - for 3.79, listens to indie rock. Today he was listening to Nirvana. Also, his girlfriend, who was remarkebly cute under those low lights, was just hanging out with him. This guy listens to Nirvana and Pavement, works at a poorly stocked grocery store, has a cute girlfriend, and gets her to just come to the store on a saturday and hang out? Where is the justice? Why is it that Joe Strummer is dead, but Bono still walks the face of the earth? How come Billy Joel is still touring? When will any of this make sense?

Two more quick things. Coke is soooo good. And in Windows XP, you have to buy (theoretically) a program that plays DVD in order for Windows Media Player to play them. That removes the monopoly of it, get it? WMP can play DVDs, but since you get that free with Windows, in order for other software DVD packages to have a chance at being bought, Microsoft makes you get a software decoder. I wonder if Microsoft offers one, cause they should have a fair shot too.

Coke may be good now, but wait till your broke, and free-basing up to 3 grams a day cause your nose bled too much last time. then how much fun will it be.

yesterday------ A book. A novel. Amd there would be people who read the book and say : "Antoine Roquentin wrote it, a red-headed man who hung around cafes" and they would think about my life as i think about the negress's: as something precious and almost legendary. A book. Naturally at first it would only be a troublesome, tiring work, it wouldnt stop me from existing or feeling that i exist. But a time would come when the book would be written, when it would be behind me, and i think that a little clarity would fall over my past. Then, perhaps, because of it, i culd remember my life without repugnance.......

Everyone should have a chance to rant on Avi's site. Why do the Backstreet Boys say we're TWO worlds apart? Why not one world? That's a lot, as I just learned in Astronomy. Here's something else: to get drum lessons on financial aid, you have to have taken one year of drum lessons without financial aid first. $735/semester. Also, I'm unemployed, have a paper to write, and my roommate has a plastic bunny named Mordechai who keeps making dirt droppings all over the room. He's filled with dirt from someone's yard, which is where she acquired him. And just to keep up intellectually: "I have had no thought of serving either you or my own glory. My powers are inadequate for such a purpose...My defects will here be read to the life, and also my natural form, as far as respect for the public has allowed. Had I been placed among those nations which are said to live still in the sweet freedom of nature's first laws, I assure you I should very gladly have portrayed myself here entire and wholly naked. Thus, reader, I am myself the matter of my book; you would be unreasonable to spend your leisure on so frivolous and vain a subject. So farewell. Montaigne, this first day of March, fifteen hundred and eighty." Montaigne - that's French.
