oh yeh
Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

Too Brilliant.

I was rejected from the creative writing course at UW-Madison. I submitted Star Gazing (it has been re-edited). Guess they didn't like it. I was pretty discouraged about it, but I can reapply, and I'm sure that there were other circumstances to my rejection - like sophmores having priority and such. I can always improve. On the same token though, what if I am too brilliant? So brilliant that no one gets my writing? This is a serious problem! I think I have to start writing essays on my own work to make sure that people know why it is brilliant. Yep.

Anything else this weekend...hmm. Did a lot of studying. At one of the study groups I went to, for british literature, this guy kept on using the word PUN for anything that meant comparing, mocking, and juxtaposing. Like "Collins' is using the moonstone as a Pun for women." Or "In GE [Great Expectations] Pip is a Pun for nature vs nurture" That pissed me off so I left early. I went to this bar and grill called StillWaters, I really like that place. You can smoke in there and the booths look like your sitting in a barrel. Thats really all I've got to say. I bought the new Guided By Voices CD (universal truths I believe it is called). It is really good so far, I will write more about it later. And the Streets are good. Also, the Lord of the Rings Two video game for playstation 2 is good. Really good. So is UHF the wierd al movie. And Pokey Sticks at 2 in the morning while you watch scenes from UHF and pulp fiction.

I know I'm a few days too late but I just saw the daily dose about first grade now...it made me really happy. Fuck anyone who rejects you, and I'm sorry I did it for 4 years, but if you'd just learned from the first time I tripped to be careful where you put that knapsack...
