I had a super productive day, for like the fifth day in a row. I rule.
Under my excellent roommates influence, I've been listening to a lot of underground Hip Hop. Namely, Unknown Prophets, Binary Star, Atmosphere, etc. The only hip hop shows Ive been too are De La Soul, Outkast, The Roots, J5, and Clo. None of them compared to the show that Binary Star put on tonight in Madison. At The Annex, Binary Start exhibited that above all other musical genres, Hip Hop transcends CDs and is very much about Performance. It is an art, not so much in the music, but in the performance. Whether vibing alone in your room, or slamming your hands along with the band and the crowd, Hip Hop provides a groove that moves you. THere was really an awesome crowd. In fact, the crowd at the Annex tonight was the best crowd I've ever been in. Not everyone knew every lyric, but everyone got into the show. No one remained seated. Maybe it was Binary Star, it probably was, but it was a really energetic and fun show. Really happy about going. Goodnight everyone
