Today went really quickly. I read like 100 pages in the Moonstone while I laid in bed for four hours, occasionally drifting off to sleep. I went out for coffee with friends and then Fritz decided to stop over and waste the rest of the night taking me to Perkins for the first time ever. I got pie and Mozzerella sticks. On the plus side, she did agree to stop by the Scenic Area by Liz Waters that I really like. And so, I am going to describe as best as I can, the scenic area tonight.
Something about the location of the hill, which I assume is probably the highest point in Madison, makes it really bright. You can't see the stars right above your head, only the ones in the distant skies over the shore line on the opposite side of Lake Mendota. The shore line across the lake at night seems like an island. Barley visisble, the lake functions as a gap between two worlds. Nothingness that threatens to consume the tiny specks of lights. Snowflakes drifted into the car's open window everynow and then slow enough to confirm that each flake was in fact, different from the others, yet quick enough to only see as they shot in the window. Fritz was singing in the background to Complicated, making her best attempts to not only sound good singing, but to sound like Avra (sp?) Levine (sp?). Like that we sat for a couple of minutes and then continued to my dorm.
I posted new pictures today. Check them out. Have fun everyone, I think I may have missed a post, sorry?
