This whole leaving for college thing is getting the better of me. At first, it didn't faze me at all, I knew it was over with my friends and stuff and I just wanted to enjoy the few days I had left with them. But now, as the days creep in, I can't fight this nostalgic feeling I have towards kids I used to spend eight hours a day and havent seen in two months. Especially the close friends I had, I miss them. Sucks, leaving, I guess I just wasn't ready for it. And at the same time that I know I'm upset about leaving, I want to leave, I want to get to Wisconsin and make new friends and get used to that new life. All these move in plans, they are getting to me also, it seems like a lot of work to get all my things 2000 miles away. I have to ship my computer to myself, which means I wont have a computer for a week...its just all going to be complex, I am not in the mood for it.
Too many people to think about when there are too many people in my house. For my cousin's wedding in Montreal, which I could not attend as I was in the hospital, which did not deter my family from going to it, all my aunts (5) and cousins (2) came to stay with use. They've been here since the wedding and are leaving thursday. The house is messy, it is always noisy and there seems to be a faint echo whenever I am told to do something, much like my mom's sisters are mimicking my mom with instructions - oh yeh, in a thick hebrew accent. They yell, they dont speak. Eh no biggie. But 3 people living in my room is also really getting to me. I had two hours of peace today, while my brother and my cousin moved a friend into his new apartment, you know what I did with those two hours? I cleaned my desk. I mean it was gross. So gross that I am going to post pictures of my messy desk.
About that nostalgia thing, the point I am trying to make isnt "make the best of the time you have," thats almost as obvious as my little leauge coach telling me to hit home runs. The point is that change occurs inevitably and you just have to be ready to get used to the new and let go of the past, not forget, but move on. My highschool friends will always be my highschool friends. What I mean is, in the timeline of my life, nothing can replace the memories and relationships I Had when I was in highschool, so just because I have new friends, will have new friends, doesn't mean anything, my highschool friends still hold a more important corner stone in the grand statue that is AVI. Hehe, grand statue. Maybe it would all be easier if I were gay. Until next time.
