Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

You Wouldn't Believe Me If I Told You

Sorry.

I have decided to change formats of this site, I am no longer interested in writing Daily Doses. There will be a journal type thing online, which probably will be updated on a semi-daily basis, but they will more be personal essays. For Example:

I've been trying to get out more. So I took up aggressive rollerblading (skating, whatever) and started playing tennis. I am enjoying both of them and generally do one of them each day between 12-3. I had my therapist appointment today at 3:30. I was in the middle of a match of tennis with my good friend jakus, when I asked him what time it was, he replied "three." I said shit, I have to go and began exiting the park. On the way out, was my mom, who came to remind me I had therapy and yell at me for being late to it, which I probably wouldn't have been. I told her I was just on my way home and would get to the city on time. She said I wouldn't because first I have to go home and then I have to drive her and her friend to the city because, as I already knew and I am just telling you guys, she doesn't drive on highways.

Well, fine, I may have been a bit late, I mean she lost her cell phone and had to run to my room to get mine, delayed our departure a bit, but whatever, no biggie. We are driving down the west side highway and there is a nice amount of traffic, but moving nicely. The left lane, which I am driving in, is moving slow, so I signal to change lanes. There is a car parralell to me, but I know I can pass him if I speed up and there is room in front of me. I accelerate and begin switching lanes when my mom, who this entire time has been hanging onto dear life (as she generally does in cars - she is crazy) shouts, "STOP." I don't know what happened, why she yelled that, but she believed I was about to ram into the car in front of me - but TRUST me, I wasn't. I saw the distance, I knew I could have switched lanes safely, I was driving, she doesn't drive on highways. Well look here is the point: my mom didn't respect my vantage point.

The meaning of this is simple. I was the driver and I was in control. But she didn't care, she believed that she knew best, I mean maybe she didn't even know I was changing lanes. Just as in real life, my mom thought she could tell me what to do when she had no idea what I was planning to do. She doesn't see life threw my eyes and doesn't care to try. She didn't see the road threw my eyes and didn't care to ask, instead, she just barked directions at me and caused me to stop short on the highway, causing the car behind me to smash into me. That's right, she yelled STOP, I stopped, the car behind me, who thought I was changing lanes, hit me. His car got totalled, but he was fine, my car was fine, and all the passengers were fine, including my mom.

I missed therapy while the cops came and filled out an accident report. I mean this just sucks, why does my mom think she can make decisions for me when she isn't in my seat?

So the site is going to include more mini stories with points, anecdotes if you will, like that, but no more pretentious build up of myself, like Oh, wait till you see what I've got in store...or I am sooo funny. Instead, the site will include more writing and art work and will be used to display my endevors, not to ramble on about me. Any questions?
