Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

A Good Time to Post

It is 1:30, I got to work at 12, cause I was up really late talking to erika. We made up and what not. You know how that works. Im happy. I am really hungry and want to go to lunch but I feel guilty about leaving for pizza when I only got to work an hour ago and I am leaving an hour early, you know what Im saying? The reason I am leaving an hour early is because I am going to open a fidelity investment account.

Anyway, Pete yorn was awsome. he played every song of his I knew and that was fun cause I like those songs. He also covered a smiths song, but I dont know which. It was a nice show, hammerstien is a cool place to see a show like that, I mean the mezzanine. only problem was this 40 year old mother f*cking yuppie who told me to put out my ciggerette. So at first I just laughed, and like 5 minutes later he was like, no, this is really bothering me, there is a pregnant lady (who btw, was drinking beer), and it is illegal to smoke. I asked him if he was a lawyer. He said hed get the usher. So I just switched seats with my sister and that was that. Anywho...I saw eva there, that was nice, and I got her front row mezzanine seats when she went down to the GA section. Good show, I was happy, my sister was happy.

I emailed the realisticsto get onto their email list. And Mike from the band responded that my website is cool. So in honor of a band member actually responding, I am going to give them a really nice review and hopefully all you readers will buy their CD or at least join me in seeing them on June 15th at the Bowery Ballroom. So here is a short review of the realistics.

I first saw the realistics on April 20th at Don Hill's. It was an awsome show and Mike, the head singer had a really cool mic jagger thing going on. Now I had heard their Cd, Real People Are Overrated, when I was listening to Harry's Discman. I really liked a few of their songs. And then after I saw them live, I liked all of their songs. They have this refreshingily mellow punk sound (I don't know if they would call it that, but I certainly would) with a hint of new wave rock in there. They put on a great show and I really think people should try to see them on June 15th at the Bowery Ballroom. They are a great new band. Really good, really good.

Yep, I best get back to work. If you are going to see the realistics, let me know, ill meet you there and we can chill afterward.

Oh one more thing, this saturday night I am throwing at party, anyone is welcome, it is going to be a private school crowd from nyc, ages 16-18, so if you are that 50 year old asshole yuppie who told me not to smoke, you cant come. The party is at 60th and park (the first building) 1st floor and Dr. Weg's Office (dont ask, long story). It probably will start around 9:30 ish. See you there (let me know if you are coming and I dont know you in real life).

You sure it wasn't nonalcoholic beer? My mom (and indeed, all the women in my family) drink that every time they're pregnant or breastfeeding, it's supposed to be healthy for some reason.
