Now I'm Artsy Wordy and Dorky

Over The Boy You've Always Known

For anyone interested in what I am singing to myself when people talk to me in real life and I just need to drown them out, I am currently really into: Jimmy Eat World - The Middle, Phantom Planet - Hey Now Girl, Pavement - Silence Kit, Led Zepplin - Over The Hills, and The White Stripes - The Boy You've Always Known. I am at work now, bored because my boss left to lunch without giving me more work. I did a really good job today and finished a lot of TTT stuff (tech team tasks) (IM ON THE TECH TEAM!!!). So I am writing this daily dose. A think about that white stripes and led zepplin song.

They really sound similar. If you listen to the opening, The stripes (which is what they will be called when they are as old and great as the stones) start like three beats after jimmy page starts, and they are really similar songs. Its fine with me and all, I mean I love zepplin and I love the stripes, its just cool that I notice this kinda shit. I read yesterday that politically charged Blogs "who share opinions often neglected by mainstream media" are the best.

Bullshit! Who the fuck does that blogger think he is? Does he have a political science degree? I mean it is fine that he has a political opinion, in fact I have one and even sometimes many, of them, but I dont share them on the site because a) I dont want to offend anyone b) I dont think I am some political visionary whose writing could save the world if people just gave me a shot c) I dont care enough d) I dont like sounding silly and polotics is silly. So why a politically charged, and must be biased as no blogger is a true journalist, would be the best is beyond me! I mean really, who wants to read what someone thinks about the current situation in israel. Its such a silly statement. I think that article was just trying to give a validation to why bloggers blog. I'll tell you why bloggers blog, BECAUSE IT GETS YOU LAID, ALOT.

So what do you think a good blog should contain? I like the idea of whatever is on the bloggers mind. But at the same time, if a blogger is just writing about polotics or bondage, or any one topic, the blog gets tired. What I like so much about Kyle's page (whose URL i dont have at work) is that he has like 7 catagories for posts, dreams, media, stories, and things like that, so it is always varying in topic and I know when I can skip something (thats just a joke, I never skip anything).

People who think blogs are little newspapers don't read a lot of blogs. Some bloggers blog about how much they get laid (a lot), and blog in graphic detail about all the freaky new positions they're trying. What does this have in common with a politically charged blog? "Please pay attention to me. Look, I'm controversial and stuff." The White Stripes fucking rock.

Actually the quote you hate is right. Really, what's more entertaining for someone with hardcore political views (or who just likes to laugh) that a Fark/metafilter comments flamewar over the middleeast? Go to Fark now. Everyone. (as soon as you've memorized everything on Avi's site)
