This daily dose is a special one, probably because it is going to be one of the
best ones and because it is really an essay, no let me correct that, a documentary,
a journey, a living testament to boredom, a visual trip. This daily dose is "the
Result of Hours of Free Time, a DSL Line, and No Cigarette."

Passover Vacation, 2002, the week of march 24th. Currently in the news, Israel
has invaded Ramallah. Currently on TV, Step by Step followed by Boy Meets World.
Family Status, upstairs. I am downstairs, bored out of my mind, thinking of
what I can do to entertain myself, seeing as I have been pretty unproductive
lately, and have been occupying myself until 6:30 am every night this week with
Civilization 3 and Counter Strike, I have decided to uninstall both those games
and hope for the best. I know have nothing to do. I literally was staring at
a chat room on mIRC for an hour, just hoping
someone would say something interesting. Then I decided to check out my fetish
Uber. Ben
Brown is still a lazy bitch and has not posted anything new, so I clicked
on the Bitch
at Ben Here! Link. I read that thread and decided to ad another post. So
I wrote my post (located on the page that the "Bitch at Ben Here!" points to,
my username is TheFlom). After that, I edited my profile
on I Love Ben Brown Dot Cum. Then
I saw there was a link to Member
Services on I Love Ben Brown. I figured I would click that, seeing as it
was probably something funny, knowing that witty Ben Brown. I noticed the Free
Rotating Ad that Ben Brown gives members. Of course, since I love free stuff,
I created an ad (mine
is on the bottom). My ad gets rotated on the main page of I love ben brown randomly.

While browsing that big list of ads, I came across the ad for "A Life Less Interesting" and thought it was clever and deserved a click. After reading that website a bit and looking around it, I found this little box on the right with a text ad for another Web Blog (thats a technical term for these type of journal websites). Well of course, I wanted to know how I too could advertise on that website. Then, I noticed the little "BS" image which linked to a site called Blog Snob. I figured they were responsible for the rotating Text Ads, so I clicked on that image. I, duh, was correct and quickly created my own account for a free rotating web ad. I unfortunately cannot display the ad I created, but you do see that the rotating Text Ad system has been added to my site as well (its on the left). Please take a minute and click on whatever ad is being displayed, its the cool thing to do.

After I did that, I was looking at the main page for Blog Snob and noticed a few links. First I saw the link to the Poem Tag Project The idea seemed really interesting and clever and I decided to take part in it. I read the rules, located on the bottom right of that site, and went to pick out a few possible Handwriting Fonts from here. I found some nice fonts and made my own poem tag. I also made sure to check out Ani Moller's Poem Tag because she is damn hot, married to Ben Brown, really cool, and really hot. I closed that Internet Explorer window and the ones which were opened as Pop-Ads. When they were all closed, all that was opened was Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Oh, there was also the original Blog Snob index.

As I continued to read the Blog Snob index, I saw the link to their 2000th member's website, Plep. I visited his website. On his website, was a randomly generated ad for someguy's website, whose URL ive lost (but just spent 30 minutes looking for - BUT WAIT) I just found the website. Right so I clicked on the randomly generated link for that website and noticed the first post about his new favorite site for Rock Starter. I too created my own rock band at Rock Starter. They were cool, they played on the moon and had a nice Yellow spot light on them. They were called The Flomanators.

Back to that Blog Snob index. I found another link to this thing called Google
Whacking. Honestly I thought it was some sort of Porn/Google thing and since
I was pretty bored, and love google, I figured I would click on it. An awesome
project, which briefly summarized is trying to only get ONE search result from
Google. I tried it, with no luck.

Back to the blog Snob page. I saw the random text and and clicked on it, which
took me to this
website. Browsed around on that for a while when I found the website for
Is It God. Again I was impressed and entertained
by that website and I voted for a few images while restoring my faith in god.

After seeing the Is It God website, I thought about how I had spent the last
two hours, I really could only recall what I wrote down here, but as I wrote
it, I remembered a few more things I did but could not remember what caused
me to do them. First, I checked my email like 2 times. Second, I masturbated
(twice), but im pretty sure that it was in reference to the Google Whacking
site, even though it was not porn those Whacks really turned me on "ambidextrous
scallywags". Also, I fixed some code on my website, but nothing you would
notice. Yeh then I decided to write this Daily Dose.

This is what our culture has become, this was my Friday night, this was my
walk in the park on a sunny afternoon, this is how I spent my free time. I had
no direction when I started and I ended up deciding whether or not I thought
a 160x132 8 color randomly generated image was god. I have nothing philosophical to say about our culture.
