Hi. I'm somewhat new to this. I don't have the eloquence of Avi's humor, or the confidence of his dimples, but I do have control of his computer at the moment, and that will have to do.
11:39 PM
We just got back from a quick drive around Riverdale. Avi once again helped me slow down. It was just two guys in a Ford Explorer, windows down, talking and enjoying a moment. My head's rarely clear unless I'm with Avi. Then again, you might expect that, even if you don't know him personally, from this website. He's a good guy.
On a lighter note, he just gave me this perfect crumb-topped Entenmann's donut. This is perhaps God's greatest gift to man.
Avi just began his nightly routine of situps. He used to make fun of me for that. Ironic, no?
Now he's telling me to try a plum. "They're really good." Now this might be true. But I'm willing to bet it stems from his obsession with William Carlos Williams, who wrote about plums and iceboxes in "This is Just to Say"--one of Avi's favorites. There's something about the word delicious that just makes it the best poem ever. Anyway, I'm probably boring the lighterhearted of those among you readers. But that's just the way I am: self-conscious about being too boring and boring at the same time. It's a problem. I'm working on it.
For everyone else who's working on something, good luck to you. I hope we all find eachother well soon enough, brave enough to admit that we all look for something.
